ChurchBuild is brought to you by Nigel Walter.
Nigel is director of Archangel Architects, a practice he set up in 2000 which works extensively with churches in the UK. Archangel’s portfolio covers a wide range of church denominations and styles of churchmanship, and the full spectrum of building types from conservation and adaptation of historic buildings to new build. The ChurchBuild website is a means of bringing the experience we have gained through years of practice to help churches create buildings that better reflect their ministry.
Nigel studied at Cambridge University, where he received a first class degree. After his degree he worked for 2 years in Islamabad designing the new St Thomas’ Church for the Church of Pakistan, and then returned to the UK to complete his studies. Nigel is a qualified Project Manager (MAPM) and has an MA in Conservation Studies (Historic Buildings) from the University of York. He also speaks and writes, and enjoys bringing together the theology together with the practical and commercial knowledge of buildings. He is married with 3 children, is a trustee of Cogwheel, a counselling charity, and enjoys acting, whether in both church and theatre.
Nigel can be contacted via the ChurchBuild Contact page.
